The Animation Desk Oscars (2/20 - 3/20)

It's Oscar season!

A special Animation Desk Oscar competition took place to celebrate the movie's charm.

Use your imagination to create fantastic animations inspired by your favorite movie. Our team will select the most creative and outstanding animated works and honor them with great prizes!

Submission Requirement

• To participate, contestants must use the Animation Desk app (available on Android, iOS, and Windows) in creating their videos.
• Create animations based on your favorite movies.
• Submissions should be between 5-10 seconds in length and exported in MP4 format. 
• Describe your entries, tag @animation_desk, and include your reference movie in the caption. 
• Please leave the comment 'Oscars Submitted!' on our Instagram post of 'The Animation Desk Oscars’. 
• If you have any problem submitting the animation, please contact us

Dates

• Submission： Feb. 20th - 23:59 Mar. 20th, 2023 (EST)
• Voting： Mar. 22nd - 23:59 Mar. 28th, 2023 (EST)
• Winner Announcement： Mar. 30th, 2023 (EST) on Animation Desk Instagram

Winners

The competition winners will fall into three categories:

• 1 Best Animation will be awarded a $200 USD Amazon gift card.
• 3 Special Prizes will be awarded a $100 USD Amazon gift card.
• 5 Honorable Mentions will be awarded a $50 USD Amazon gift card.

And all winners will have the showcase opportunity for their work on Animation Desk's Instagram story, newsletter, and other social media channels.

Judging Criteria

The evaluation process will consist of two parts, with the following weightage given to each:

• Assessment by internal staff: 60%
• Audience voting: 40%

Other Rules and Information

• Kdan Mobile reserves the right to disqualify submissions that include offensive content, indecent content, or submissions in invalid formats.
• Kdan Mobile reserves the right to cancel the competition. For example, if the number of submissions does not meet the minimum requirement decided by Kdan Mobile or if other circumstances arise out of its control
• Winners might be featured on Animation Desk social media posts, newsletters, or blogs. Winners will be notified before the content release. 
• Please be responsible for the content used in your work. Avoid infringing intellectual property and unauthorized content.
