What is Aspect Ratio?
Aspect ratio is the ratio of width to height of a video. Different social media platforms have different standard aspect ratios. For example, Instagram posts are commonly all in a 1:1 (square) ratio format, while YouTube’s standard aspect ratio is 16:9. Knowing which aspect ratio is the standard for you your desired video upload platform is very important while editing and exporting.
